The shows the media server follows: their episodes in Jellyfin's Podcasts library, the pins that keep them playing, and what needs a look.
iAbout this page›
Each show is a feed - an RSS feed, or a YouTube channel or playlist. The panel reads it about once an hour and writes every episode into the Podcasts library as a small pointer, so Jellyfin lists the whole show without the drive holding the audio. Playing an episode streams it from the show's host through the relay on the media server.
A pinned episode is downloaded to the pin cache and plays from the drive, so it keeps playing after the host takes it down. The newest few of each show are pinned, with anything somebody has marked as a favourite in Jellyfin and anything kept here; an episode nothing wants pinned any more is unpinned after a grace period. An episode the host no longer has is never unpinned without somebody saying so.
Many feeds list only their newest episodes. Find missing episodes looks for the rest at Apple, Podcast Index and the Wayback Machine, checks that each one still plays, and writes those that do. Episode numbers come from the feed, or from the show's numbering rules, and never change once written, so Jellyfin keeps everybody's place.

Numbering
The feed's own season and episode numbers are used when it has them and the first box is ticked. Otherwise the first series rule whose pattern matches the title gives the number and the season, then the main rule. Patterns are regular expressions with one ( ) group around the number. Numbers are frozen once an episode is written: changing these rules numbers new episodes only.
Shows set to Don't flag missing episodes are never listed here, whatever their state; their pages still say it, in grey.
Nothing needs a look: every feed is answering, every short feed has had its missing episodes found, and every pin has gone through.

Adding shows, polling, finding missing episodes, pinning, keeping, skipping and the settings need podcasts.manage, which this account does not hold.
